About CEED (Centre for Education & Economic Development)

Established in 1998, CEED (Centre for Education & Economic Development) is a non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to transforming the lives of the poor, downtrodden, and neglected individuals in society. Our journey began with a vision to uplift marginalized communities through a holistic approach, providing relief, education, skill development, medical care, and creating awareness on crucial developmental issues.

Registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. 362, dated 14th July 1998), CEED operates from its headquarters in Cobol Pet, Guntur, with a branch office in G Block JCHHA, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Our work is driven by the core philosophy of “Helping to Succeed,” with love and compassion at the heart of all our initiatives.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower women, children, and underprivileged communities, enabling them to break free from cycles of poverty and neglect. We aim to foster socio-economic development that benefits everyone, irrespective of caste, creed, color, or religion. Our ultimate goal is to empower the poorest and most vulnerable sections of society and help them thrive in an inclusive and just world.

Our Focus Areas
At CEED, we prioritize initiatives that address the fundamental needs of the most vulnerable, especially women and children. Our key areas of focus include:

  • Health: We organize free health camps to ensure access to basic healthcare for the disadvantaged.
  • Education: Through education and welfare programs, we strive to improve the prospects of poor children and disabled individuals.
  • Livelihood: Our livelihood training programs empower women, enabling them to secure employment and attain financial independence.
  • Gender Equality: We conduct awareness programs to address gender-based violence, combat human trafficking, and promote women’s rights and dignity.

Our Leadership and Impact
CEED owes much of its success to the dynamic leadership of Mrs. Qamar Begum, our Founder & Chairman. Her passion for social justice has propelled CEED to thrive in every project it undertakes, from grassroots initiatives to large-scale awareness programs.

Our Strategy
We believe in a bottom-up approach to development, empowering urban and rural communities by building their social, economic, and human capacities. Our efforts promote national integration while fostering human rights, dignity, and gender balance. CEED emphasizes the active involvement of individuals in their own upliftment, ensuring sustainable development through collaboration and self-reliance.

Join us in our mission to create lasting change, and help us continue to uplift those in need. Together, we can build a society based on equality, dignity, and opportunity for all.

What we do

CEED (Centre for Education & Economic Development), our work is driven by the commitment to uplift marginalized communities through comprehensive and sustainable development programs. We focus on empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups to improve their socio-economic status and lead dignified lives. Here’s how we make a difference:

Health & Medical Care

We believe that access to healthcare is a fundamental right. CEED conducts free health camps in underserved areas, providing essential medical care to the poor and neglected. Our camps focus on general health checkups, maternal care, child healthcare, and disability care. We also raise awareness on health and hygiene practices to prevent illness and improve overall well-being.

Education & Child Welfare

Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. CEED provides educational support to children from poor backgrounds and those with disabilities. Through scholarships, school supplies, and after-school programs, we aim to create opportunities for these children to thrive. Our child welfare programs also include awareness initiatives on child rights and protection from exploitation.

Livelihood Training for Women

Economic independence is key to women’s empowerment. CEED offers skill development and vocational training programs to women, helping them acquire marketable skills that can lead to sustainable livelihoods. These programs focus on various trades such as tailoring, handicrafts, and small-scale entrepreneurship, enabling women to contribute to their families and communities financially.

Gender Equality & Women’s Rights

CEED is dedicated to promoting gender equality and protecting women’s rights. We conduct awareness campaigns on issues such as gender-based violence, trafficking, and discrimination. Our programs empower women to stand up for their rights and make informed decisions about their lives. By advocating for gender balance, we strive to create a society where women are respected and valued.

Trafficking Awareness & Prevention

Trafficking is a grave issue that affects vulnerable women and children. CEED works to combat human trafficking by conducting awareness programs in high-risk areas. We partner with local communities, law enforcement, and other organizations to prevent trafficking and protect at-risk individuals. Our goal is to create safe environments where women and children can live without fear of exploitation.

Welfare Programs for the Disabled

CEED is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Our welfare programs offer medical support, rehabilitation, and vocational training, enabling them to integrate into society with dignity. We also advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the services and opportunities they deserve.

Awareness & Advocacy

CEED actively engages in awareness and advocacy programs on a wide range of social issues, from health and sanitation to human rights and environmental sustainability. We work to educate communities, encouraging them to take part in their own development and make informed choices for their futures.

Through these initiatives, CEED is transforming lives, one step at a time. Our approach is holistic, addressing both the immediate needs and long-term empowerment of the people we serve. Together, we’re building a brighter, more equitable future for all.
